What is Love? AI Don’t Hurt Me 🎵

It's not just "I do", it's "AI do." (We’ll be here all week — or rather, every week.)

This is MISSION, a weekly newsletter for people who want to build what's next.

THIS WEEK IN AI

Love is in the AIr this week, as couples are turning to AI speechwriting tools like Joy, a product of A.Team's innovative spirit, to craft deeply personal wedding vows. By translating emotions and memories into eloquent words, technology is redefining expressions of love — it's not just "I do", it's "AI do." (We’ll be here all week — or rather, every week.)

We haven’t seen an AI for dad jokes yet (big missed opportunity), but in the realm of professional collaboration, Forbes emphasizes the power of teamwork over individual expertise. A recent article applauds the benefits of cultivating a collaborative organizational culture. Top executives, including our very own A.Team CxO, Wagner Denuzzo, shares strategies for optimizing success in the contemporary workplace.

The new metric for organizations to focus on? Teams.

Speaking of value generation, our Gen AI Salon is happening tonight! We have an impressive roster of speakers and topics. If you haven't registered yet, there's still time to join us virtually.

CHART OF THE WEEK

Pride & Purpose

A stark 'purpose gap' exists between upper management and the front line

Employees who find purpose in their work are more productive, healthier, more resilient, and more likely to remain with their company.

McKinsey's latest research underscores the strong correlation between employees' purpose and engagement and its impact on an organization's bottom line. When employees feel that their purpose is aligned with their work, organizations see stronger employee engagement, heightened loyalty, and a greater readiness to recommend the company to their networks. Leaders aiming to foster a thriving team culture can do so by encouraging employees to discover their purpose and support it.

A.Team builder and trans-activist, Amethysta Herrick, embodies this principle by using her voice to champion the LGBTQIA+ community in the tech industry.

Amethysta began her gender transition in 2022 after a 25-year career in software development and team management. Despite facing challenges in an industry often dominated by men, Amethysta now helps others uncover their own identity, which she believes “is far richer than the work you accomplish in eight hours for somebody else.”

In honor of Pride month, we've partnered with LGBTech for a very meaningful event on June 20th. Join us for insights from Michael Alroy, an expert consultant who will share his challenging and rewarding journey as a trans man in tech.

We’ll discuss identity, values, and tolerance while challenging misconceptions and stereotypes.
